Marcelo Horenstein, M.D.
Dr. Horenstein joined The Dermatology Group in 2004 and serves as the Director of Dermatopathology. Dr. Horenstein earned his Medical Doctor degree from the School of Medicine, in Mendoza, Argentina. He completed his internship and residency at The New York Hospital, Cornell Medical Center in New York. He completed a Fellowship in Oncologic Pathology with Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer in New York and a Fellowship in Dermatopathology at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina.
Dr. Horenstein is Board Certified with the American Board of Pathology with a Combined Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology, as well as certified with the American Board of Dermatology and American Board of Pathology in Dermatopathology.
Dr. Horenstein is extensively published with over fifty original articles, letters and chapters in peer-reviewed publication as well as extensive published abstracts from presentations in scientific meetings. Dr. Horenstein is frequently called upon to present at conferences around the world related to Dermatopathology and research. Dr. Horenstein has additionally held numerous assistant professor positions at universities such as the University of South Alabama College of Medicine.
