The Dermatology Group’s new CoolTouch laser uses a special cooling spray that protects your sensitive skin, letting the laser light stimulate deep layers to produce new collagen. Laser resurfacing is an effective way to reduce acne scars and fine lines. The treatments themselves take about 20 minutes, and you can go straight back to work afterward. Although you might notice mild redness and swelling for a few hours, it’s okay to reapply make up right away.
Laser resurfacing works deep inside the skin to improve its texture. Therefore, results may not be apparent right away, but they’ll last a long time. In fact, some patients see continuing improvement up to a year after their last treatment. Laser treatments can be used in combination with other therapies, including botox and microdermabrasion.
