Dr. Daniel Groisser founded The Dermatology Group in 1992 to bring a new level of patient care to dermatology. As both internist and dermatologist, Dr. Groisser has treated patients at such prestigious medical centers as the Mount Sinai Medical Center, The Sloan Kettering Memorial Cancer Center, The New York Hospital, and The University of Michigan Medical Center. Dr. Groisser was determined to bring that same level of care to dermatology patients in a private practice. The Dermatology Group offers a unique combination of breadth, experience, and research activity usually found only in university health centers.


The board-certified physicians at The Dermatology Group: Dr. Groisser, Dr. Robert Nossa, Dr. Karen Gordon, Dr. Stephen Spates, Dr.Marc Abbate , Dr. Christine Tock, Dr. Justin Brown, Dr. Smita Agarwal, and Dr. Frederic Rothman merge clinical expertise and deep compassion for their patients. They all share a commitment to using the latest research and technology, caring for the whole person, and being available for emergencies and urgent care with the same responsiveness as a primary care physician..

In addition to the physicians, The Dermatology Group includes three licensed and certified Physician Assistants. Janet Worobel, PA-C has been providing dermatology care to patients since 2000. Shannon Welner, PA-C has been with the Dermatology Group since early 2005. Gabriela Plesek-Andia, PA-C, Marie Chen, PA-C, Shari Ashton, PA-C offer comprehensive medical backgrounds to our patients. All of the Physician Assistants work under the direction of a physician. Four licensed medical estheticians, Susan Rilliet, LE, ASEM, Melissa Astone, LE , Pennie DeVore, LE, and Chris Kelly, LE provide corrective homecare regimens and in-office treatments.
