Understanding Your Treatment
If your disease is severe and systemic, we offer several medicines to treat all of your psoriasis and eczema symptoms, including psoriatic arthritis. The Dermatology Group's connection to major research centers ensures that we can offer new therapies as soon as they're available. In addition, we are often involved in clinical trials for new treatments.
What are my treatment options?
In addition to medication, our office features phototherapy treatments including a computer controlled full-body Narrowband UVB ultraviolet light box. This treatment is just as effective as PUVA therapy, but has less potential for long-term skin damage. In addition, a specialized unit is available for patients with conditions limited to their hands and feet, as well as an XTRAC® UVB laser for recalcitrant localized psoriasis.
